Speaker: Dulyn

Ihor Dulyn

The forum's speaker, Ihor Dulyn, owner of the Vash Lavash franchise and bakery chain, co-founder of the West Ukrainian Business School (WUBS), spoke about how to combine active business with helping your country.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Mr Ihor has been actively helping our defenders: 1,000 Freedom cars, 1,166 drones, 4,000 pieces of body armour, food kits have already been delivered to the front, and 14 charity auctions have been held, including three abroad.

As well as volunteering, Mr Ihor keeps a close eye on production in his bakeries. The bread on the shelves is always fresh and contains no chemicals. According to the speaker, it is much more difficult to work without frozen food, semi-finished products or preservatives, but it is the right way to gain credibility with customers.

"The volunteer project has an organizational structure similar to a business project. Thanks to my entrepreneurial skills, I managed to establish an effective charitable activity that brings me certain values. And it's not about money at all. I mean much more important things: new friends, "bonds, social capital and positive corporate culture", Ihor Dulyn emphasized.

Implemented by the NGO "Tech StartUp School" as part of the project "Makership, innovation and entrepreneurship in the Chervonohrad coal micro-region".

The event is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK) with support from the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH as part of the project "Just Transition of Coal Regions and Green Recovery of Ukraine's Energy Sector".
