Speaker: Prudkohlyad

Yana PRUDKOHLYAD

Yana PRUDKOHLYAD - co-founder of the carpentry workshop "Reismus", marketing consultant, spoke about the lessons of entrepreneurship and gave advice for beginners.

According to the speaker, she was not born in "mink diapers", but made her own way. Ms Yana first worked as a railway dispatcher for 10 years, but this job always depressed her as it offered no self-improvement and no prospects for development.

That is why she decided to start her own business, a women's clothing franchise called "JHIVA". This was the beginning of Yana's entrepreneurial activity. But she did not want to stop there.

The next step was the opening of the carpentry workshop "Reismus". According to the spokeswoman, this happened by chance, as she and her husband did not intend to sell the furniture right away, but made it for themselves. However, when the couple woke up the next morning, they discovered that the product had been damaged.

"Then we realised that people needed it and started making interior elements to order," the entrepreneur points out.

The speaker advised beginners not to be afraid to start their own business from scratch and to experiment, as there are many opportunities today, the main thing is to have an idea and the desire to implement it. It is also important not to lose optimism even in difficult times, because that is when we start to act and create ways of solving the problem that will lead us to success in the future.

Implemented by the NGO "Tech StartUp School" as part of the project "Makership, innovation and entrepreneurship in the Chervonohrad coal micro-region".

The event is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK) with support from the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH as part of the project "Just Transition of Coal Regions and Green Recovery of Ukraine's Energy Sector".
