I am Natalia Khaisanova, 69 years old, and I am the mother of a wonderful girl, Olenka. I live in the mining town of Chervonohrad, Lviv region. Unfortunately, there are few opportunities in the Chervonohrad district for the comprehensive development of children and youth with special educational needs. Our family has always supported and continues to help our daughter find ways for physical and creative development, ensuring her full integration into society.
Olenka graduated from VPU №11, specializing in 'Light Industry Technologies,' and earned a qualification as a seamstress. It was then that the dream of having our own atelier was born. Later, other young people with disabilities and volunteer mothers joined Olenka's passion for sewing. Together, in 2022, we started sewing towels and underwear for our defenders.
With the support of kind people, we received sewing machines and purchased fabric. The children began learning to cut fabric, but initially, they were more comfortable cutting paper. This was an excellent start for developing their skills. Thanks to their perseverance, the children reached such a level of mastery that even we adults couldn’t keep up. While the volunteer mothers cut, the children diligently sewed underwear and towels. We passed on our products to the military through acquaintances and various public organizations.
The challenges faced by people with special needs and their loved ones have long shaped our values and beliefs. My goal is to help them become full members of society, find their place, improve their quality of life, and gain self-confidence.
The realization of the "Sewing-dreaming" project will not only promote the development of inclusive entrepreneurship but also strengthen the social unity of the residents of Chervonohrad and the Chervonohrad territorial community. We want to build an environment where people with disabilities do not feel limited but can develop, work, and succeed alongside others.
Natalia Khaisanova’s story inspires us to do good deeds. We are confident that her victory in the Business Ideas and Startups Competition will help the social atelier "Sewing-dreaming" become a successful and innovative business!
