«House of Mercy»: how faith and innovation are changing lives in the Chervonohrad region!
The story of a woman who, despite numerous challenges, hardships, and obstacles, never gave up—a woman who inspires and instills faith in the idea that the world is shaped by kind and persistent people.
Nataliia Zhuk, the winner of the Business Ideas and Startups Competition held within the framework of the "Makership, innovation and entrepreneurship in the Chervonohrad coal microregion" Project, shared her vision for her project and talked about how her business idea was born.
I am Nataliia Zhuk, 53 years old, and I've lived my whole life in Chervonohrad. I’m the daughter of a miner, widow of a miner, mother of three children, and grandmother of twin granddaughters. By profession, I am an accountant. Since 2012, after my husband's death, I have been the head of the Chervonohrad City Department of the Society of Polish Culture of the Lviv Region. During this time, many projects have been implemented, and numerous places of memory have been restored and maintained. Charitable activities, aimed at helping others and supporting those in need, are especially important to me.
While abroad, I realized that old age is not a sentence — life can be interesting and fulfilling at any age. Instead of seeing it as a time of decline and limitations, many people see it as a period for new opportunities, growth, self-realization, and enjoyment.
My dream is to create a space for the elderly that feels like home, where everyone can find their special place and be heard, where there is no loneliness or restrictions. Instead, there will be lots of love, communication, care, and attention. Children won’t need to worry and will be able to work fully, knowing that their loved ones are receiving professional care. After all, care and kindness are languages that the mute speak, and the deaf hear.
I will do everything I can to ensure that in the «House of Mercy», everyone finds what they need: attention, medical care, quality nutrition, rehabilitation services, psychological counseling, time spent in nature, hobbies, learning—everything that will improve the quality of life.
Dreams have the right to come true, but for that to happen, you must believe, act with heart, and follow a clear plan. The first step will be to create the «House of Mercy» center, providing both day and 24-hour care.
The second phase will be to create the «House of Mercy» boarding house, where everyone will have their own personal space, and which will provide shelter not only for the elderly but also for those in need of care and assistance.
You must believe in what doesn't yet exist, and then you will create it... My faith is stronger than fear!!! Let's go! I invite like-minded people and investors to join the team!
We congratulate Ms. Natalia and wish for the "House of Mercy" to become a successful and popular project!
