From miner to auto repair shop owner or how a dream can pave the way to your own business!

We begin our introduction to the winners of the Business Ideas and Startups Competition with Taras Zemnytskyi — a man whose hands have been hardened by years of mining work. At the same time, Mr. Taras never gave up on his dreams and aspired to realize a business idea that would not only become his life's work but also contribute to the innovative development of the Chervonohrad coal microregion. His project "MechTseh" is not just an auto repair shop, it is the result of years of experience, dreams, a desire for growth, and the passion to do what he loves. Mr. Taras shared his story and emphasized how important it is to believe in your potential and seek ways to make it a reality.

Good day, esteemed audience. I’m pleased to welcome you to our mining town of Chervonohrad. Let me ask, we all care about our health and the environment, don’t we? I believe we do... And we all know that a significant part of pollution comes from automobiles, which is why my project is directly related to cars and their maintenance.

My name is Taras, and I’m 32 years old. Since I was eighteen, I’ve dreamed of opening my own auto repair shop. Since I needed startup capital for this, I went to work in a mine. In total, I have 14 years of underground experience (you could say I'm an experienced miner), and I’ve been working as a mechanic for 10 of those years. Coal mining at the mines is carried out using extraction machines, which are repaired and serviced on the surface by the "MechTseh" section. After the transformation of the coal industry, I would very much like "MechTseh" to be turned into a car service center.

The difficult conditions in the coal industry, along with my love for working with machinery, motivated me to change my field to something more eco-friendly and modern. I decided to participate in the project "Makership, innovation and entrepreneurship in the Chervonohrad coal microregion" to learn the basics of entrepreneurship and find support for implementing my business idea, the name of which, as you can guess, comes from the mining section "MechTseh".

"MechTseh" is a station that specializes in the professional replacement of fluids and lubricants in cars. This project aims to address the shortage of professional auto repair services in the Chervonohrad district. Implementing this idea will enhance the efficiency of vehicle operation, reduce the number of breakdowns and accidents, decrease the emission of exhaust gases into the environment, extend the lifespan of batteries in electric vehicles, and prolong the time before they need to be recycled. With the introduction of these services, the use of hybrid and electric vehicles in the area will increase. All of this will generate a stable income and maintain a steady flow of customers.

The use of a drain and vacuum extraction unit for oils will ensure a quick and high-quality replacement of engine oil, brake fluid, and other fluids. A radiator flushing unit and coolant replacement with heating will speed up the replacement process for vehicles with internal combustion engines as well as for hybrid and electric vehicles, which have heating and cooling systems installed.

And the most popular service will be the installation for servicing automatic transmissions. Automatic transmissions are increasingly being used in modern cars. This equipment will also allow for the replacement of lubricants in the reduction gears of electric vehicles, which also has a significant positive impact on the environment.

You might ask, "What has been done so far?" I can tell you that I already have some tools and a garage where I service vehicles—my own and those of my close ones.

The economic advantage of using this equipment is that it is low-cost, requires almost no consumables, and the service prices are affordable.

In conclusion, I can say that the "MechTseh" project has significant advantages due to its environmental, technical, economic, and social effectiveness, which makes my business idea promising for implementation and further development. Personally, I want to thank you for the opportunity to participate in the project "Makership, innovation, and entrepreneurship in the Chervonohrad coal microregion", as creating an auto repair shop is the dream of my life. Thank you :)

If there are any car enthusiasts among you, be sure to visit Mr. Taras! We are confident that high-quality services and a special approach to customers will make 'MechTseh' popular among the residents of Chervonohrad.

We wish you success on the challenging but exciting path to building a successful business!
