A new level of entertainment: VR racing in Sheptytskyi!
Serhiy Riabka, the winner of the Business Ideas and Startups Competition held within the framework of the "Makership, innovations and entrepreneurship in the Chervonohrad coal microregion" Project, shared how the business idea of creating a sim racing club came to life, which will become a hub for virtual racing enthusiasts, offering the chance to experience motion simulators.
My name is Serhiy, and I have been interested in augmented reality technology for over 3 years. Its potential and areas of application are difficult to describe because it can become a powerful tool for training, testing, and education in virtually any industry.
What fascinates me the most is using this technology to simulate various competitions. As a passionate racing fan and a car enthusiast, I’ve long wanted to learn how to professionally drive sports cars.
Unfortunately, in Sheptytskyi, there are no accessible or high-quality sim racing clubs, which limits the opportunities for residents and tourists to experience high-tech virtual motion simulators. This hampers the development of the entertainment industry, hinders social interaction, and restricts learning opportunities. That’s why I decided to create a sim racing club where virtual racing enthusiasts can test high-quality motion simulators.
Unlike other available simulators on the market, ours offer modularity with three to six degrees of freedom, making the system easily adaptable to the users' needs. The use of advanced drive systems ensures high simulation accuracy, creating full immersion into the virtual environment. An analysis of competitors shows that most do not offer this level of flexibility and realism.
Using three monitors simultaneously provides an extra level of immersion and allows users to feel like they are actually inside the car. These technologies create tactile, visual, and sound effects that enhance the game's realism. The simulator's platform movements allow the driver to feel the onset of a drift and respond in time, adjusting the car’s handling. Additionally, the driver experiences realistic acceleration and braking sensations, as well as a better feel for the road surface, helping them adjust speed accordingly.
I’m confident that the club will become a popular spot! I’ll be happy to welcome everyone and look forward to meeting you…”
Congratulations to Mr. Serhiy on his victory, and we wish him many more great ideas!
